Moulding local young men into top blokes
Sydney Motorway Corporation has provided a grant to the Top Blokes Foundation to deliver Junior Top Blokes Mentoring Programs in three schools in the WestConnex corridor.
Each 16-week program provides boys aged 14-17 with skills and education to increase their overall mental health, and improve their behaviors and attitudes towards drugs, alcohol, anger, sexual content and online pornography.
The program focuses on strength-based harm minimisation and innovative mentoring, to engage boys at a formative stage in their lives.
The Junior Top Blokes Mentoring Program will directly benefit disengaged young men who reside within Parramatta and inner western Sydney and aligns with Sydney Motorway Corporation’s sustainability objectives to improve health and wellbeing of people in WestConnex corridors.
Sydney Motorway Corporation is supporting us to empower 36 disengaged young men to positively contribute to their local community and build personal resilience and informed decision making skills.”
