Improving sports facilities at Ashbury Public School
Sydney Motorway Corporation is helping Ashbury Public School complete the re-design of its front playground by sealing and painting an asphalt court using funds from a community grant
When finished, the area will be used as a multi-function sports court by the school’s 380 students as wells as the wider school community including children using the out of school hours care centre, Splash.
The court is expected to provide a healthy and safe environment for students, teachers and staff for up to 20 years and will allow students to play a range of sports.
The initiative is part of a larger playground renewal project, which has been funded by the school, the P&C and Splash, and aligns with Sydney Motorway Corporation’s sustainability objectives of improving the health and safety of communities along the WestConnex corridor.
Sydney Motorway Corporation’s assistance has helped the school complete the final part of our playground re-development project and will encourage more physical activity in a safer environment.”
